BMCRC return to Donington Park for two days of motorcycle mania

Monday, May 13 2019

Motorbike action returns to Donington Park this weekend (18/19 May) with a visit from the British Motorcycle Racing Club (BMCRC) featuring a packed timetable of non-stop two-wheeled action.

The BMCRC attracts huge entry lists and boasts an immense race programme so expect busy grids in every division. Riders will take on the National circuit and the unique challenges that go with it, including dramatic changes in elevation, high-speed corners and fast straights.

Some of the fastest machines can be found within the MRO Powerbikes series, catering for a huge range of 1000cc bikes. Regulations allow competitors to experiment with a wide range of tyres and performance parts so expect some seriously quick action.

There will be plenty of rookies involved across the weekend, with the novices and seasoned competitors going wheel-to-wheel in the 600 and 1000 classes. This is a great chance to see talented young riders learning their race craft in a bid to become a future star.

There will also be entertaining sidecar action across both days with competitors performing acrobatic displays as duos cling on tight whilst battling their way around the National circuit.

The Yamaha Past Masters will also take to the iconic tarmac to recreate the sights and sounds of yesteryear with an abundance of retro bikes set to feature.

The paddock will be open this weekend allowing spectators to get up close to the race bikes as they are prepared for the track.

Tickets for the BMCRC Club Bike Championships at Donington Park (18/19 May) are available online for £12 until midday Wednesday (15 May) or on the gate for £16, plus children under 13 go FREE. For more information, please call 0843 453 9000 or click here.
